STATE STROKE PLAY CHAMPIONSHIP
A. The Championship shall consist of 54
holes of stroke play.
B. The 24 players with the lowest Handicap Indexes will vie for the title of State Stroke Play Champion and will play in the first 2 flights, (1st and 2nd Flight). Anyone within 7 index points of the 24th lowest index may opt to play in these first two flights and vie for the title.
C. These players will be evenly split
(as closely as possible) between the first and second
flights according to Course Handicap.
D. Split tees will be used. All players
trying to qualify for
championship flight will play all 54 holes from the
longer set of tees. All other players will play from
the shorter set of tees. No overall net winner will
be named due to the difference in tees. No overall net winner will be named due to the difference in tees.
E. Those players not in the first two
flights will be pre- flighted according to their handicap
index.
F. A perpetual trophy is awarded to the Champion. The Champion will come from either the 1st and 2nd flight.
